Starts out with a smoky, toasty oak aroma and follows up with elegant, spicy pear, honey and butterscotch flavors that blend together. Finishes with complex and concentrated flavors.

The 1994 Chardonnay is exceptional, although it is not quite as complex as the brilliant 1993 unfiltered Chardonnay (a wine that continues to age marvelously well, exhibiting no signs of fruit loss). Although the 1994 is more polished, it offers a wealth of honeyed, citrusy, tropical fruits, a nice touch of toasty, smoky oak, full body, and a chewy, layered personality. It should drink well for 2-3 years.
